I. EVOLUTION OF THE STORM

At 7:00 AM, the center of the tropical depression was located at approximately 14.5 degrees North latitude; 118.8 degrees East longitude, over the northeastern part of the Central East Sea region. The strongest winds near the center of the tropical depression reached level 6 (39-49 km/h), often level 8; shifting towards the Northwest at a speed of approximately 10 km/h.
- At 1:00 PM on July 1st, the center of the tropical depression was located at approximately 14.6 degrees North latitude; - At 117.4 degrees East longitude, over the northeastern part of the South China Sea. The strongest winds near the center of the tropical depression were at level 6 (39-49 km/h), usually level 8; shifting northwest at a speed of 15-20 km/h.

II. DIRECTION AND RESPONSE 
- On June 30, 2026, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense issued Official Letter No. 25/BCĐ-BNNMT to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to An Giang regarding proactive response to the low-pressure area near the East Sea that has the potential to strengthen into a tropical depression and strong winds at sea.
- On July 1, 2026, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense issued Official Telegram No. 26/CĐ-BCĐ-BNNMT to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Khanh Hoa; the Ministries of: National Defense, Public Security, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Science and Technology; Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, and Vietnam News Agency regarding proactive response to the tropical depression in the East Sea.
