A landslide in Quang Ninh's embankment, one person was crushed to death

15:40:54, 13/08/2020 Heavy rain caused a man who was cooking to suddenly collapse under the embankment, burying and leading to death.
The incident happened at 18:30 on August 2 at Group 8A, Area 7, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh in heavy rain.

According to VietNamnet, Mr. Đ.V.M (SN 1979, from Thai Binh) was cooking at a temporary camp when he was suddenly buried by the collapsed stone embankment.

Detecting the incident, many people nearby rushed to the rescue, and at the same time informed the authorities to send the excavator to support due to the large amount of soil and rock.

Upon receiving the news, the Ha Long City authorities were present at the scene, organized the rescue, and at the same time sealed the scene for investigation to clarify the cause. 

At 8:30 p.m. on the same day, the victim's body was taken out and handed over to his family as a poster. 

Residents here said that this camp was built long ago for the victim and two other people to live, at the time of the incident, the weather was raining heavily. 

According to information from Quang Ninh Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, due to the weakening low pressure from typhoon No. 2, on the night of August 2 and on August 3, the province continued to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 250-300mm / time.
