Continuing to implement effectively Restructuring Scheme Irrigation Sector in 2016 and the period 2016 - 2021

14:29:0, 30/06/2016 Restructuring Irrigation Sector is a vital first condition for agricultural production and then to serve socio-economic development of the country. Focusing accelerate progress to complete the institutional and policies; strengthening the application of science and technology, especially high technology in the warning, forecasting natural disasters; continue to improve organizational apparatus, capacity building of official from central to grassroots level; innovate and enhance the role of information and propaganda… That is the conclusion of Permanent Deputy Minister - Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong at the conference Deployment Restructuring Scheme Irrigation Sector, took place in Hanoi, in the morning on January 7th 2016.


On behalf of Derectorate of Water Resources, Deputy Director General – Mr.Nguyen Van Tinh reported results after one year of implementation of Restructuring Scheme Irrigation Sector, shortcomings, limitations and solutions deploy in 2016 and in the next time. So far the implementation of the Scheme has achieved encouraging results to serve the direction and administration of the Ministry, the Derectorate. However, besides the achievements, the implementation of the Scheme are still some limitations in the last year, such as: asynchronous policies, overlap between the sectors, the feasibility is limited; lack of resources for implementation; there are few businesses to invest in high-tech agriculture; the participation of local people in irrigation is limited.
