Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Trinh Dinh Dung directed the meeting at the Steering Committee of the Storm Response Front No. 9

In bad weather conditions at sea, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung instructed related units to prepare a plan for aircraft to search and rescue sunk fishing ships when avoiding storm No. 9.

Concluding at the emergency meeting at the Storm Response Front Steering Committee No. 9 this afternoon (October 28), Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Trinh Dinh Dung directed the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry Police, Military Region 5, Military Region 4 and neighboring military zones and armed forces stood in the area ... gathered forces to respond and rescue during and after typhoon No. 9.

In particular, the Deputy Prime Minister urged attention to bring the large ship to rescue 26 crew members and 1 ship was dead, drifting in Binh Dinh waters while on the way to avoid storm No. 9
Deputy Prime Minister directed "Must bring large ships out with two fishing boats. Through discussions with the Minister of National Defense Ngo Xuan Lich agreed to bring the ship out. The Prime Minister also asked to ensure people's lives and to gather forces to do. I promise the Prime Minister to do my best to protect the safety of the people ”
 
Talking about the air rescue plan, the Deputy Prime Minister asked the functional departments to "focus on the aircraft, when the weather permits, go out immediately to rescue". According to the Deputy Prime Minister, this is very reasonable for the rescue situation at sea when it is difficult for ships to go to sea due to high waves. "The plan to bring the aircraft out is very suitable," the Deputy Prime Minister said, emphasizing: "Prepare the aircraft plan immediately".

1. About people: Dead: 01 person died (Gia Lai collapsed due to rain shelter); Injured: 02 people (Binh Dinh).

2. Going home: House collapsed: 04 houses (Quang Ngai: 01, Binh Dinh: 01, Phu Yen: 01, Gia Lai: 01; House roof: 1,095 houses (Quang Ngai: 934, Binh Dinh: 02, Phu Yen) : 44, Gia Lai: 109, Kon Tum: 06).

3. Traffic: 01 suspension bridge in Kon Ray district was swept away, spending 115 households / 680 people in village 11, Dac Ruong commune; Landslide causes traffic jams at 04 points in Kon Tum province.

4. Boat incident: 02 ships of Binh Dinh sank at sea on October 27. Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung agreed with the Minister of Defense to send two naval ships and two fishing boats from Cam Ranh to rescue.
