Heavy rain caused a landslide and divided 2 commutes at Dak Lak

9:47:28, 31/05/2021 Heavy rain caused the inter-commune road in Lak district (Dak Lak) to collapse more than 27 m. Two communes in this district have been divided.
On the evening of May 26, Mr. Nay Y Phu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lak district (Dak Lak), said that functional forces are coordinating with the provincial Department of Transport to overcome the landslide problem on the inter-commune route Ea Rbin - Nam Ka.

Around 3 p.m. on the same day, heavy rain caused water on the Krong No River to rise, causing landslides at the inter-commune road Ea Rbin - Nam Ka (in Lak district).

The landslide location is about 1 km from the headquarters of Nam Ka Commune People's Committee, the landslide point is 27 m long, 9-10 m wide, causing local traffic jams.

Landslide caused traffic divided in 2 commutes Dak Lak

According to Mr. Nay Y Phu, the point of landslide is adjacent to the waist of Krong No river.

"This area is building embankments to prevent landslides. In the past few days, there has been a lot of rain, so the amount of water poured into the river is large, causing the above incident," said Mr. Nay Y Phu.

The district chairman added that functional forces had blocked off at both ends of the landslide to warn and set up barriers to prohibit large vehicles from passing.
