Midland area, Northern Delta: 176.661 hectares for rice cultivation winter-spring crops have water on the first day

15:53:34, 14/06/2016 According to the synthesis of the Directorate of Water Resource, until 15:00 pm , Jan.21st , 176 661/627 849 hectares land of Midland area and North Delta for winter-spring rice cultivation have water, it reached 28.1% of the planning. Particularly, Ninh Binh province reaches 73.3% equal 30.272 hectares have enough water.

Implementing the flushing plan serves rice cultivation in the 2015 – 2016 winter-spring crop of the Middle Area, Northern Delta, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has directed the operation of Son La, Hoa Binh, Thac Ba and Tuyen Quang hydropower reservoirs for more water discharge for downstream. The water level of the Red River in Hanoi from 0:00 AM to 15:00 PM on Jan. 21st  averaged 2,21m, highest +2.38 m (from 11:00 AM – 13:00 PM).
