No electricity, no water, Texans struggle through historic cold with more dark days ahead

9:33:23, 23/02/2021 At first they lost their electricity and now they are facing with the lack of water problem

Texas citizens are lining up to buy clean water for use

After enduring freezing temperatures for days, cities across the state have recently warned residents that low levels of danger may not be safe to drink. The authorities required residents to boil water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and making ice as residents struggled to maintain electricity and heat during the unprecedented storm raging.

About 590 public water systems in 141 Texas counties have been disrupted, affecting 12 million people, according to a Texas Environmental Quality Commission (TCEQ) spokesman.

TCEQ CEO Toby Banker said water quality problems are related to power shortages, frozen water lines, faulty and people using too much water for lower water pressure.

The freezing temperature project will last throughout the week, so it is possible that water pipes are broken or damaged. Dehydration is a devastating battle for Texans, who still suffer power outages in freezing temperatures.
