Se San 3A Hydropower Plant: Actively ensuring safety in the rainy season

10:7:2, 12/08/2021 From July 2021, the Central Highlands region has entered the rainy season. According to the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, due to the influence of the ENSO phenomenon, from now until the end of 2021, there will be about 10-12 storms and tropical depressions operating in the East Sea, including about 4-6 storms directly affect the mainland of our country. Heavy rain is likely to occur heavily in October and November 2021 in the central provinces, especially in the Central and South Central regions.

Therefore, ensuring the safety of production and daily life activities of people in downstream areas during the rainy season is an urgent requirement for the management and operation of hydroelectric power plants. Se San 3A Power Development and Investment Joint Stock Company is the unit that manages and operates the Se San 3A Hydropower Plant on the Se San River, in Ia Khai Commune - Ia Grai - Gia Lai. immediately take effective measures to ensure the safety of downstream areas and works of the factory.

Sesan 3A hydropower plant regulates water

Before the stormy season, Sesan 3A Company coordinated with local authorities to assess downstream safety according to the plan to respond to emergency situations, and promptly propose measures to overcome the shortcomings; agree with the locality on the installation location of warning for power generation and flood discharge. In addition, before running the machine or before releasing the flood, the factory always has a whistle to notify the people downstream to avoid and not let the unfortunate incident happen.

The company has carried out propaganda about the roles, tasks and importance of the Sesan 3A hydroelectric project, requirements in disaster prevention and control, reservoir operation, security and order in the area. factory area to each village. People downstream have had multidimensional, objective views and cooperated well with the factory in the prevention and control of natural disasters in the rainy season. People in the downstream have understood the factory's process of running and discharging floods, the risk of flash floods may suddenly appear even if there is only a few heavy rains at the upstream, so they have been proactive in production work. , Living. For many years, there has been no damage to people, crops and aquatic products of the people when the Sesan 3A Hydropower Plant ran and released flood.

Se San 3A Hydropower Plant regularly inspects, evaluates, maintains, repairs and handles defects in plant equipment, develops disaster response plans according to the motto "4 on the spot" which are: on-site command; force in place; on-site supplies, vehicles and on-site logistics. Power supply to flood prevention devices is always backed up and available at many levels. The factory's monitoring parameters are within the allowable range, the project is safe to respond to natural disasters in all situations.

The operator calculates the water flow to the lake

Every year, employees are equipped with skills to handle unforeseen situations when floods occur through the implementation of disaster response plan drills. Human resources for disaster prevention - Search and rescue on the spot are fully equipped with means and tools to promptly handle damage or incidents that may cause harm to the works. Right from the beginning of the rainy and stormy season, the operator on duty closely followed the process of inter-reservoir operation in the Sesan river basin and the process of the Sesan 3A reservoir in regulating the Sesan 3A hydropower reservoir. Every day, the plant prepares hydrological bulletins to forecast floods to the lake, monitors parameters related to reservoir operation and transmits it online to the Water Resources Management Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment according to regulations. .

The stormy season in 2021 has just begun, so in the coming time, Sesan 3A is not subjective, negligent, always well prepared in all aspects, ready to respond to situations that may cause harm to the region. downstream and the Sesan 3A hydroelectric project.
