Searching for 57 missing peoples in Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam and on the sea

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung asked key forces to coordinate closely with provinces and cities to focus on searching for 57 missing people in Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam and at sea.


Excavators are actively working to find 12 missing workers at Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant.


Regarding the work of overcoming floods and storms, at the meeting on November 2, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, Head of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Chairman of the National Committee for Response natural disaster incidents and search and rescue, requiring key forces such as the police, the army, the military zone 4, the military zone 5 to coordinate closely with the provinces and cities to focus on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, especially the work of finding missing people, curing injured people, encouraging to visit families with victims of the last natural disaster.

The search and rescue must be done in the direction of ensuring absolute safety for the rescue and rescue force.

In the area of ​​Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant (Phong Dien district, Thua Thien-Hue province) and Nam Tra My and Phuoc Son districts (Quang Nam province), there are 1,208 officers and soldiers on search mission. rescue victims lost due to landslides.

A landslide in the Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant (Phong Dien district, Thua Thien-Hue province) buried 17 workers.

Up to now, the rescuers have discovered 5 bodies of the victim, the bodies of the remaining 12 workers have not been found.

By the end of November 2, due to landslides in Quang Nam province, in Nam Tra My district 17 people died, 46 were injured and 15 were missing, of which Tra Van commune had 8 deaths, 12 injured person; In Tra Leng commune, 9 people died, 33 were injured, 14 were missing; In Tra Mai commune, 1 person was injured and 1 person was missing. In Bac Tra My district (Tra Giap commune), 1 person died. In Phuoc Son district, 7 people died and 6 people were missing, of which 1 person died and 1 person was missing, in Hamlet 3 6 died and 5 were missing. In Hiep Duc district (Quang Nam province), 1 person was also missing due to a landslide.

Thus, in Quang Nam, there are still 22 people missing due to landslides.

On October 27, Binh Dinh's fishing vessel bearing number B-96388-TS with 12 fishermen sank about 130 nautical miles from Cam Ranh to the East.

Also on October 27, Binh Dinh's fishing vessel BD-97469-TS with 14 fishermen was located 172 nautical miles from Nha Trang to the East, about 140 nautical miles from West Song Tu Island in the Northwest direction. Currently, 3 fishermen have been rescued, and 23 are still missing./.
