Temperatures of the Northern Central fell to unprecedented levels

16:50:47, 05/05/2016 From 23 to 25 January, affected by the enhanced cold air with strong intensity, the Northern Central suffered from the serious cold at the large scale with the common lowest background temperatures from 5 to 7ºC.

In particular, some localities have temperatures lower than the recorded figures such as Sam Son with 5.7ºC (historical 6.1ºC, 1999), Hon Ngu with 6.1ºC (historical 6.9ºC, 1983), Ha Tinh City with 5.6ºC (6.8 ºC history, 1992) and Ky Anh with 6.0ºC (historical 6.9ºC, 1975).

In Nghe An province, there appeared sleet and frost.

Nghe An Department of Education and Training required schools, in the days of lowest temperature, should regularly monitor the daily weather report at 6:20, 12:20 and 19:45 on VTV channel and Nghe An Radio and Television to update weather, inform students on the mass media as well as organize the compensable trainings to ensure the planned program.
