According to the Vinh Long Provincial Office of Flood and Storm Control and Search and Rescue, the rain accompanied by a tornado on the morning of May 25 caused many houses to collapse and roofs across the province.
According to incomplete statistics, the tornado caused 24 houses to collapse and roofs off in Tan Long and Binh Phuoc communes of Mang Thit district. In which, 2 houses completely collapsed and 22 houses had their roofs blown off.
In addition, many trees, power poles and rural roads were also affected.

Immediately after the incident, leaders of the agricultural sector and local authorities rushed to the scene to assist people in overcoming the consequences.
As noted by the Reporter of the Law Newspaper, until nearly 12 o'clock on the same day, there was still heavy rain in Vinh Long province. Functional branches and local authorities in the province continue to review and make statistics of people's damage to support and timely remedy.
